Easter activities at St Marys Church, Manton

Easter Cross Easter Saturday, 8th March 10am-12 noon at the Church. Everyone welcome!

Come and help to decorate the Church for Easter Day to celebrate the Easter story.

Hot Cross Buns, tea and coffee and soft drinks available all morning.

Easter Services – Holy Communion

Easter Sunday All age service and Communion at 9.30am St Mary’s Church, Manton

This will be a short service, with a child friendly family communion, followed by an Easter egg hunt in the churchyard after

Biscuits and tea & coffee or a soft drink. Everyone welcome!


Lent lunches. All welcome - every Wednesday until Easter.

12.45 – 2.30pm Manton village hall

A simple lunch of homemade soup, bread and fruit will be served

£6 donation to Save the Children Fund for children in the Ukraine, Turkey and Syria

Monthly Coffee Mornings on Thursdays 10.30-12 noon - all very welcome

  • 9th March at the house of Helen Maitland, 11 Priory Road
  • 13th April at the house of Mary Stenston, Hall Cottage, St Mary’s Road
  • 11th May at the house of Caroline Burnaby-Atkens, Manton Lodge Cottage, Lodge lane
  • 8th June at the house of Jane Bews, Shapinsay, 7a/b, Lyndon Road

Neighbourhood Bible & Prayer group

Manton Bible study and prayers resume after Easter on Thursdays, 1.50pm for 2pm start. Everyone welcome.

  • 4th May at The Coach House, Stocks Hill
  • 18th May at 38 Lyndon Road
  • 1st and 15th June at 38 Lyndon Road
  • 6th July at Manton Cottage, 11 Stocks Hill

Following our study of the life of Jesus in Mark’s Gospel, we will be studying Acts and ending with a short time of prayer.
