| Saturday 25th Feb | Manton | Safari Supper: Every year Manton hosts a Safari Supper in order to raise money for Church Funds. This is a hugely successful event which involves the whole of the village and a lot of eating, drinking and socialising!! Tickets £18 less subsidies for doing a course. Includes 3 course meal plus wine and the chance to meet lots of fellow villagers! Money raised for church funds. Please book in with Anne Cowan (737503) asap. |
| Sunday 26th Feb 7.30pm | St Peter's Empingham | Concert of Classical Music: by popular request - St Martin's Sinfonia. Bring your family and friends to St Peter's for another Sunday evening concert. Make your bookings promptly as the last concert was a sell out! The Programme will include: Handel - Water Music (A selection of the most well known movement). Telemann - Concerti for 4 Violins - In C and D Major. (Soloists - Stamford Violins: Terry Noble, Hilary Allison, Anja Smith, Sarah Latham) Mozart - Jupiter Symphony, No 41 in C Major. Tickets: £7.00 each in advance, or £9.00 each at the door. | Tuesday 20th Mar at 7.30pm prompt | Empingham Cricket Club | Empingham Bowls Club: the bowls club will be putting on its own version of the Winter and Summer Olympics. The competitions will include slalom, downhill, ski-jumping, curling, and all the events that electronic wizardry can devise. Teams will be picked on arrival to balance out the age range, and points awarded for style as well as substance!.
